Well tonight is my final night in philly and tomorrow I am off to a new place.. a new everything! My last days were spent with my brother which I can say I absolutely had the best time with. We got to see a lot of things. We went to see Picasso paintings in the Philly Museum which was unbelievable, had a few philly cheese steak sandwiches, went to NY, and just enjoyed my last moments with him. (I love you Jonathan and know that someday all your hard work will pay off go YOU!) Today was orientation and it was hard to say farewell to my brother because for me that was the last time I would see a family member, but surprising enough it didn't hit me to hard I have a feeling it will on that long flight to albania. But today I met my fellow volunteers which will be joining me on this adventure! There are about 50 of us from all over which is exciting and after meeting everyone today I can say I feel more at ease. I look forward to tomorrow even though it will be a long two days of traveling, but its the realization that its all finally coming together! What I have wanted for so long is here.. my time to serve. I am so fortunate to have such supportive parents (miss you guys already!) and family and friends who cheer me on at home and for you all this is for you! This is the first step of going out there and doing something. I may only be one person, but I am one person who can make a change. I love love you all and can't wait to share everything. I will miss you all and only wish that during this time people can take the time and really live life and do something of meaning to whatever that is for you personally. Next time I will write I will be in Albania AHHHHHHHHH :))))
The question for each man to settle is not what he would do if he had means, time, influence and educational advantages; the question is what he will do with the things he has. The moment a young man ceases to dream or to bemoan his lack of opportunities and resolutely looks his conditions in the face, and resolves to change them, he lays the corner-stone of a solid and honorable success.
